Who We Are
The American Investment Council (AIC) is an advocacy and resource organization established to develop and provide information about the private investment industry and its contributions to the long-term growth of the U.S. economy and retirement security of American workers. Member firms of the AIC consist of the country’s leading private equity and growth capital firms united by their successful partnerships with limited partners and American businesses.
We advance access to capital, job creation, retirement security, innovation, and economic growth in the United States by promoting responsible long-term investment.
What We Do
The AIC provides members with forums to build peer-to-peer relationships, exchange information, access best-in-class practitioners and proprietary research, and participate in setting the agenda for the Council. AIC members are invited to exclusive events where they can network with peers and discuss top issues facing the private equity and growth capital industry.
We are an association of firms committed to developing long-term value by investing in and building enduring companies through the alignment of interests between investors and management and providing financial, operational and strategic resources and direction. We seek to engage the public, policy makers, the media, and other stakeholders in our industry by developing information about the contribution of private equity in the economy and by advocating policies that encourage responsible investment, access to capital, economic growth and job creation.
Membership is currently open for private equity, growth capital and fund of funds firms.
