The Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) Committee meets by phone at least three times per year to discuss issues of concern and areas for potential PE involvement. This group is empowered to file comments on accounting and valuation issues to the relevant regulatory bodies and standard setters, and develops official AIC positions on financial reporting issues, subject to Board approval. The CFO Committee coordinates outreach efforts to key constituencies such as the credit rating agencies and investors like LPs and debt market participants. The Committee also hosts one in-person meeting each year for all member firm CFOs—the CFOs’ Annual Meeting. Participation in this Committee is open to PE and fund of funds members, as well as associate member accounting firms.
