AIC Welcomes Kevin Callahan as Vice President of State Government Affairs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Investment Council (AIC) today announced that Kevin Callahan has joined the organization as Vice President of State Government Affairs. In this newly created role, Callahan will lead AIC’s state-level advocacy efforts, ensuring state legislators nationwide understand the critical role private investment plays in supporting small businesses, investing in local communities, and creating jobs.

Callahan brings more than 20 years of experience leading government relations initiatives for Fortune 500 companies. Callahan joins AIC after serving as StubHub’s Head of North America Government Relations, where he led the company’s government relations strategy across the United States and Canada. Prior to StubHub, he led eBay’s state government relations strategy nationwide, first as Senior Manager and later as Head of State Government Relations.
 
Previously, Callahan served as Director of State Government Affairs at the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), representing more than 100 leading technology companies, advocating for public policies that promote innovation and competition in the American technology sector.
 
Earlier in his career, Callahan managed government affairs for a national manufacturing trade association, advised corporate and nonprofit clients on state strategies for a state government affairs consulting firm and served in legislative affairs roles at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and in the Maryland State Senate.
