The American Investment Council Welcomes New Board of Directors Members

WASHINGTON – The American Investment Council announced today new and returning members to its Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 session. The board will gain three new members to join seven returning members as it guides the trade association over the next two years.

“We are delighted to work with such an experienced and dedicated Board of Directors,” said Mike Sommers, AIC President and CEO. “Our board represents large and middle-market private equity firms as well as fund-of-funds, giving us unique insights into all aspects of our industry.”

Joining the board for the first time will be Behdad Eghbali, Co-Founder and Managing Partner
at Clearlake Capital Group, and Pamela Hendrickson, Chief Operating Officer and Vice Chairman of Strategic Initiatives at The Riverside Company. John W. “Jay” Jordan II, Chairman and Founding Partner of The Jordan Company, will rejoin the board for the second time.

“These new additions to our board will provide critical advice to the AIC and our mission of enhancing economic growth, promoting retirement security, and building companies for the long term,” remarked AIC Board of Directors Chairman Ken Mehlman. “The new members represent the deep talent and diversity of the industry.”

Reelected to the board this year were Kevin Albert, Partner at Pantheon Ventures; Steven Klinsky, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at New Mountain Capital; Christian McGrath, Managing Director and General Counsel at GTCR; and Ross Oliver, General Counsel at Crestview Partners.

The remaining returning board members include Michael Berk, Managing Director at TA Associates; Wayne Berman, Senior Managing Director at The Blackstone Group; Glenn Creamer, Senior Managing Director at Providence Equity Partners; David Marchick, Managing Director and Head of Global External Affairs at The Carlyle Group; Rick Schifter, Partner at TPG Capital; John Suydam, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Apollo Global Management; and Mark Tresnowski, Managing Director and General Counsel at Madison Dearborn Partners.
