General Counsels’ Annual Meeting

On October 15, 2014, the PEGCC held its General Counsels’ Annual Meeting at member firm The Blackstone Group’s New York offices.  Meeting attendees were able to enjoy open and off-the-record conversations about the pressing issues impacting today’s general counsel role.  Jason Mulvihill, General Counsel for the PEGCC, led the meeting’s first panel, titled, “Regulatory Update – From CFTC Aggregation to SEC Examination and Beyond.”

John Finley, Senior Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer for Blackstone, then moderated a panel titled, “The Cutting Edge of Deals – Responses to a Hot Sellers’ Market.”  Karen King, Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer for Silver Lake, moderated the final panel of the day, titled, “A “Stairway to Heaven? The Ups and Downs of Today’s Fundraising Environment.”  Throughout the meeting, the panels featured the expert commentary of representatives from our Associate Member firms.
