PEGCC Annual Meeting Slideshow
The PEGCC held its Annual Meeting last week, and it was a great success with attendance nearly doubling from last year. The Annual Meeting and Member Dinner is an excellent opportunity for our members to interface with Members of Congress and regulators that influence our most important issues. We had 47 people from member firms attend the meeting, including 12 founders and representatives from our new Tier 1 Associate Members.
Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO), Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA), and Rep. Steve Southerland (R-FL) all spoke on aspects of legislative and tax policy important to our membership, including carried interest and interest deductibility. In addition, SEC Chair Mary Jo White stopped by to discuss regulatory issues affecting private equity, which include SEC registration of investment advisors, broker-dealer rules and the JOBS Act.
